Grief Counseling & Support
Christian Grief Counseling in Lubbock
Compassionate, faith-rooted support for anyone walking through loss, whether it happened last week or many years ago.
- In person or online
- HSA accepted, sliding scale
Grief does not follow a schedule, and it rarely looks the way people expect. Some losses bring tears right away. Others go quiet for years and then surface as anxiety, anger, or a heaviness that will not lift. In my Lubbock office, I make room for you to grieve honestly, without being rushed and without being told to simply have more faith. Scripture is full of lament, and God is not afraid of your sorrow. I offer grief counseling in person or online, and it can stand alone or work alongside individual counseling as you heal.
Loss comes in many forms. The death of a parent, spouse, child, or friend is the most recognized. Grief also follows divorce, miscarriage, a diagnosis, the loss of a home or career, or the end of a season you thought would last. I treat every loss as real, and you never have to justify why it hurts.
Our sessions give you room to tell the story of your loss as many times as you need to. I listen, I pray with you, and I help you notice where grief may have opened the door to lies about God, yourself, or your future. Unresolved sorrow often hides underneath anxiety and trauma, and bringing it into the light is often the turning point.
What to Expect
How Grief Counseling Unfolds
When trauma is tangled up with your loss, we take the time that healing honestly requires. As you move forward, the goal is not to forget or to stop missing what you lost. The goal is to carry the loss with God's comfort instead of carrying it alone. My clients describe learning to breathe again, to laugh without guilt, and to trust the Lord's timing even when it does not make sense.
Families sometimes grieve differently under the same roof, which can create distance at the worst possible time. I also work with children and teens through counseling for young people who have lost someone, and I can meet with the whole family together. When you are ready, you can schedule a grief counseling appointment or call me at (601) 528-2598.

COMFORT FOR THE SOUTH PLAINS
Walking Through Loss With Lubbock Families
Lubbock is a city that shows up for one another. When a family loses someone, casseroles arrive, church members fill the pews, and neighbors check in for weeks. Then life moves on for everyone else while the grieving family is still standing in the middle of it. That is usually when people call me. I have walked with widows, parents who lost children, adult children caring for aging parents, and veterans carrying losses from their service. My south Lubbock office is a quiet, private place to fall apart and put the pieces back together. My online sessions reach grieving families across the South Plains, from Levelland and Plainview to the small towns in between.
